The Evolution of IMAPP by PropertyKey: Major System Upgrade Rolled Out

The following article was originally published in REtechnology.

In the ever-evolving landscape of property management technology, IMAPP by PropertyKey has distinguished itself as a cornerstone tax system option for MLSs, continuously adapting to meet the dynamic needs of its customers. Under the leadership of Bill Antoskiewicz, CEO at PropertyKey, IMAPP has undergone significant enhancements, catering to a loyal base of over 140,000 users primarily concentrated in Florida and Alabama.

The Foundation of IMAPP

Bill Antoskiewicz, leveraging his extensive background in marketing and sales, alongside experience at Ernst & Young, took charge of PropertyKey, the makers of IMAPP, about three years ago. Today, with a dedicated team of around seven staff — supplemented by external expertise as needed — IMAPP has solidified its reputation as a robust and user-friendly platform that is fast, has full functionality, and is loved by agents.

Recent Enhancements and Innovations

If you have watched the messaging out of many key markets in Florida like StellarMLS, Miami MLS, and BeachesMLS, they are telling agents about the new functionality in IMAPP. Under the guidance of Craig and Jeff Hoffmann, the product development leads at PropertyKey, IMAPP has recently introduced several groundbreaking features and improvements.

1. Enhanced Data Integration and Accessibility

  • IMAPP now offers fully mobile-responsive functionality, ensuring seamless usability across devices.
  • Each listing includes an IMAPP button providing comprehensive data beyond basic fields, directly linking to county records.

2. Advanced Search Capabilities

  • Users can now search via Automated Valuation Model (AVM) value, FHA/VA assumable loans, and distinguish between homestead and non-homestead properties.
  • Real-time updates allow agents to reflect remodels or changes promptly.

3. Expanded Data Sets and Reports

  • New datasets such as building permits, code violations, and short-term rental licensed properties (including Airbnb type data) have been integrated.
  • Enhanced comparables and contact information further enrich the user experience.

The example below shows how these new data sets appear in a property look-up:

4. Improvements to GIS 3D Mapping

  • The improvements to an interactive GIS 3D map enables layered visualization of multiple data sets, aiding in contextualizing residential developments and neighborhood boundaries. For example, this image below shows properties around a subject property that have code violations — demonstrating the overall upkeep of the neighborhood:

5. Expanded Search and Functional Improvements

  • Quick view profiles, opportunity zones identification, and single-address quick searches streamline user interaction.
  • Enhanced platform help resources, mobile responsiveness, and personalized customization options ensure that IMAPP remains user-centric and intuitive.

6. Help Center

  • As you view the screenshots above, you will notice question marks placed on all of the components throughout the application. These link to help boxes that explain the functionality that the agent is engaging with, along with YouTube videos showing how to use the functionality.
